Fastest and most innovative perfect binder in its class
Each clamp of the Vareo is equipped with its own servo motor. This allows for different processes to be combined, which increases the real output compared to conventional perfect binders in this performance class, especially in variable-thickness mode. At the same time, it allows for individually adjustable, long pressing times. Optimal bridge plates on the products can also be attained in the stations thanks to the unit drive technology. All this results in first-class binding quality together with consistently high production output – unique in this performance class.
Ideal for Offset and Digital Printing
With extremely flexible equipment, the Vareo can be configured to match customer needs or expanded on demand through extensions. For example, the binder can be equipped with an optional book block feeder, various interchangeable spine glue stations or a crash station for the desired application. Thanks to the optional barcode system and the size and book thickness measurement station, the Vareo can also process book blocks with different block thicknesses and sizes fully automatically. As a result, high-quality books can be produced in a very short time, regardless of whether offset or digitally printed products need to be finished.
Versatile and efficient gluing and binding methods
The Vareo reliably binds books with hotmelt or PUR binding methods. The perfect glue application is made possible by tried and tested roller application systems with heated counter-rotating spinners as well as the highest level of automation in applying the hotmelt adhesive. With the Vareo’s PUR nozzle application system centrally controlled via the touchscreen, Muller Martini is the only manufacturer to offer a fully integrated solution. The relevant parameters for the glue film are entered during the setup process, and the necessary glue quantity is automatically calculated and delivered precisely in the volume needed. That means the system does not depend on the viscosity, temperature and pressure of the glue. This allows considerable cost savings, significantly minimizes the operator's tasks and guarantees outstanding product quality.
